The story "Sonam's long sleep" is a feature length film about a Tibetan youth who is a victim of drugs.
The film focuses on the perilous addiction of drugs and its dark effects on the youth's healthy life.
Sonam escapes to India for better education opportunities. However, he ruturns without completing the school. He meets a German lady in Tibet who promises to help him immigrate to Germany.
Sonam after returning to Tibet takes up tourist guide as a job. He meets a German lady with whom a strong friendship develops with her. She promises to help him immigrate to Germany. She also helps him financially.
Sonam comes to India to process his papers for Germany. His life takes a different turn after he arrives in India for the second time. No one assumed that Sonam would ever land in the clutches of drug addiction. He becomes a drug addict after meeting a Tibetan youth in Delhi, who was a drug abuser and a dealer.
The money send by Sonam's good German friend goes to satisfy his dreadful habit while on the other hand she worked hard to process immigration documents for him.
Sonam dies soon after due to drug over dose. The German lady, who comes to India to bring Sonam with complete immigation procedural documents
returns to her country without him.
